About
Oasis Farms is a blooming social enterprise with a vision and a purpose to help mothers leaving abuse and reduce food insecurity and food deserts across Eastern Kentucky. We offer housing and jobs to our employees, who produce whole, organic food grown in permaculture systems that yield higher nutritional value, increase biodiversity, and keep prices of organic goods affordable.
Here's Why:
579,770 Kentuckians struggle with food insecurity, making up 12.9% of the population.
Its estimated that over $318 million would be needed to end food insecurity in Kentucky.

In Kentucky, 45.3% of women and 35.5% of men have experienced contact sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner within their lifetime.
If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence, please contact one of Kentucky’s 15 programs supporting all survivors of domestic violence.

Founder/CEO Jessy Workman
A mother of 3 and a survivor of domestic abuse, Jessy started Oasis with a vision of eliminating the barriers she, and so many others, face when fleeing abuse.
She saw a vision for a place where transportation, childcare, and housing could all be solved with one solution; she saw a holistic approach to healing, from the roots up, and Oasis Farms Inc grew.
We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
Our Mission
We help mothers escape domestic abuse by providing employment and onsite housing at Oasis Farms, where they grow nutritious food used to reduce food insecurity in Eastern Kentucky.
